Feeder to distance, length, guides, bottom.
Especially in competitions, the distance at which we fish is of great importance. Often jumping over a neighbor by a meter or two is enough to work out another bite. In our country there are reservoirs where we can not count on a good result if the feeder does not jump 80-90m. For such casts we need rods with a minimum length of 390cm. Above 100m, a 420cm or even 450cm rod will be definitely better. In addition to the length, we need to pay attention to two things in the construction of the rod itself. The bottom rod should be much longer than in standard feeder rods. This will allow you to load the rod very well when casting. Another element is the size of the guides. The first, the starting one, should be large and away from the reel, which will facilitate the free extension of the line. Large guides on the rod tip are supposed to pass the knot that connects the shot leader to the main line without obstruction.

Distance reel, size, spool capacity, weight.
Another very important part of the set for long-distance fishing is the reel. Regardless of the brand and purpose, it should be durable, large and wind the line perfectly. Seemingly simple conditions to meet, but nevertheless to choose the one, the best will always be difficult. The best solution will be a model that has a compact, lightweight body and at the same time a wide, high and capacious spool. For 390cm rods a good complement is a 5500 - 6500 reel, which guarantees a good casting range and at the same time is not very heavy. For longer rods we can put on already 8000, 10000 and even 14000 sizes. Regardless of the size, each model should accommodate a minimum of 150m of good quality line for method feeder. Most often it will be 0.20mm or even 0.18mm diameter.

Method feeder to distance, size, weight.
When we already have a holy rod and a perfectly matched reel with a spool filled to the rim poraz on the final set. Here by far the most popular feeder is ARC and BOAT. Firstly, it performs its task very well, that is, it delivers groundbait and pellets into the fishery, and secondly, shooting off the set does not hurt so much. With very forceful casts with feeders weighing more than 70g, you have to reckon with losses. A supply of feeders is highly recommended. For some time now we have also available tubes, ailerons for ARC and BOAT feeder. Definitely adding this element "smoothes" the flight of the feeder, but also the reeling of the set itself at a great distance.
