The hooks in the Drennan Acolyte Gripper series are the strongest hooks in the entire Acolyte range, ideal for shore fishing.

They can handle any large fish caught on both commercial and natural fishery.

Acolyte Gripper hooks are recommended for baits such as: luncheon meat, corn, white worms, casters, red worms. With a barb and a spatula.

The new Drennan Acolyte hooks are a real breakthrough. Due to the development of new materials and processing techniques, large eyelet hooks have significantly improved their strength and durability in recent years.

These improvements unfortunately could not be applied to the thin wire paddle hooks, however, after almost three years of development, we have overcome all the technical problems and can now offer the Drennan Acolyte thin paddle hooks that incorporate all the upgrades!
